Kindergarten 9/5/07
I sent home a yellow application for thHighlights For Kids magazine If you would like to order this, simply fill out the order form and send back to school. You don't need to send any money. The magazine will be delivered to your house monthly. The other form are for the Sholastic Book Club. If you want to order anybooks, fill out the order form in the back, cut out, and place in an envelope with a check for the exact amount. Scolastic is a wonderful company and our classroom receives bonus points that I can purchase materials for our class.

Kindergarten News 8/29/07
Well, we had quite a day today. We wrote Shana Tova cards in Torah Time, practiced our invented spelling at writing time and matched words in our poetry pocket charts. Many children have gone home with stomach problems and fever. One has a positive for strep. Please watch for any symptoms and keep your sweet kinder home if you think they may be coming down with something. Look forward to seeing you all this evening.

Monday August 27
We had a vey busy day. We are still learning and practicing classroom rules and procedures and how to share and negotiate challenges. I will be posting this same blog on my website but need to do that from home on my mac computer. Today we painted our class mailbox with Morah Aidy, explored math manipulatives during math, we are learning hebrew with the help of Morah Leah's frined Benzi, and we are learning to be reading detectives by listening for the initial sounds in words and guessing what the word could be. I will e-mail you all later today to see photos of all the fun we had on my website along with a more indepth description of some of the activities.
